Soybean

Soybean is one of the most productive crops in terms of yield per planted area. It has the same protein quality as animal food sources and is highly nutritious. Because of this feature, it has an important place in vegetarian nutrition. Protein-rich soybean meal, which is left over from the extraction of soybean oil, is one of the most important feeds used in livestock. It can be planted as a fallow plant, as it increases the yield of the plants to be planted after it by providing nitrogen to the soil through the bacteria in its roots. Soybean plant is also used extensively in the production of biofuels.
